Practicalities

Making an Appointment

Before making an appointment it may be useful to have a telephone conversation during which we can briefly discuss your situation and what has prompted you to seek therapy. If it feels right for you we can then arrange to meet for an initial consultation. This first meeting will give you the chance to decide if you wish to begin therapy with me. You can also contact me by email to arrange a consultation.

Therapy Time

The Therapy time will be a total of 50 minutes.

To maintain the secure frame, I will hold you to that time absolutely. If you arrive late, you still must stop at the agreed time. At some point, it will probably happen that you will be in the middle of something deep and anguishing when the time comes to stop. This may be extremely frustrating to your conscious mind, but I will not allow you to run over the time, and that should satisfy your unconscious. If, on the other hand, I am late, I will give you the full time.

Boundaries

Having a set time in counselling is very important. Outside of counselling your world maybe constantly changing or hectic. This can lead to feelings of Danger chaos and abandonment. By keeping the counselling times and dates solid and secure, your unconscious mind will see me as Healthy, consistent, safe, strong and devoted to your care.

Frequency

I normally see clients once a week. But in some cases we may decide more or less often maybe required. Depends on the clients problems.

Cancellations

Whether its Counselling, Hypnosis or any other therapy that I provide I will require a minimum of 48 hours notice to cancel a session (excluding weekends). If you give me less notice than this then the fee will still be charged at your set rate.

Payment for any missed or cancelled sessions will be required on your next appointment.
